Santa Frequently Asked Questions

Which experience is right for my family?

If you've enjoyed our traditional Santa Cabin in previous years, choose the Peacock Express or Candy Cane Express.

If you're looking for a brand-new adventure with a different Christmas story, the Evergreen Express offers an exciting journey to our historic schoolhouse.

No matter which you choose, you'll enjoy the same warm, magical Peacock Road Family Farm experience.

Will there be two Santas?

Yes—but don't worry!

We've carefully planned the behind-the-scenes magic so that children experience only their Santa. Just like at the North Pole, a little Christmas magic happens behind the scenes, and our staff works hard to preserve that wonder for every family.

Why did you add a second Santa Experience?

As our Santa Experience has grown, we wanted to create more intimate visits for every family.

Adding the Schoolhouse Santa Experience allows us to spread guests between two locations, reduce crowding, and give families more meaningful time during their visit while preserving the magic you've come to expect.

Is the Schoolhouse Experience private?

The Schoolhouse Santa Experience is designed as a small group experience.

Only one group is inside the schoolhouse with Santa at a time, creating a cozy, festive atmosphere while allowing more families to enjoy the experience throughout the evening.

Is the Santa Cabin Experience private?

Your train car travels with other guests, but once you arrive, your family will enjoy your own individual visit with Santa before spending time with Mrs. Claus.

Can larger groups still visit together?

Absolutely!

Large groups may choose the Evergreen Express, which accommodates up to 16 guests per reservation.

If your larger group would like to experience the Santa Cabin, simply reserve two train cars on either the Peacock Express or Candy Cane Express.

How many people fit in each experience?

Peacock Express-Goes to Cabin

  • Up to 7 guests per train car

Candy Cane Express-Goes to Cabin

  • Up to 7 guests per train car

Evergreen Express-Goes to Schoolhouse

  • Up to 16 guests per reservation

How much do tickets cost?

Peacock Express

  • $115 per train car (up to 7 guests)

Candy Cane Express

  • $115 per train car (up to 7 guests)

Evergreen Express

  • $195 per reservation (up to 16 guests)

How long does the experience last?

Plan on approximately 40–45 minutes from departure to completion of your Santa visit.

Which Santa Experience is better?

Neither—they're simply different!

The cabin offers the classic Peacock Road tradition many families have loved for years, while the schoolhouse introduces a new Christmas story and experience. Both are filled with holiday magic, memorable moments, and plenty of Christmas cheer.

Can I choose which experience I want?

Yes! When purchasing tickets, you'll select the experience that best fits your family.

Will the experiences feel different?

Yes—and that's intentional!

Each experience has its own unique story, setting, and traditions while maintaining the same level of warmth, quality, and magic you've come to expect from Peacock Road Family Farm.

What happens if it rains or snows?

Our Santa Experiences operate in typical Michigan winter weather. We recommend dressing warmly with coats, hats, gloves, and boots. In the event of severe weather that affects operations, we'll contact guests with any necessary updates.

Are strollers and wheelchairs allowed?

Please contact us before your visit if anyone in your group requires accessibility accommodations. We'll be happy to discuss the best options to make your experience enjoyable.

During Your Visit

When should we arrive?
We recommend arriving 20–30 minutes before your scheduled departure. This gives you time to check in, use the restrooms, and soak in the Christmas atmosphere before your adventure begins.

What happens if we're late?
Our departures run on a scheduled, so we encourage families to arrive early. If you miss your departure, we'll do our best to help, but we cannot guarantee another ride that evening.

Can we take photos with Santa?
Absolutely! Families are welcome to take their own photos during their visit with Santa.

Should we dress for the weather?
Yes! Portions of your experience take place outdoors. We recommend dressing warmly with winter coats, hats, gloves, and boots.

I still have questions!

We're happy to help! Please contact us through our website or email us, and one of Santa's helpers will be glad to assist you.
